Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
We respect your privacy. This policy explains what personal information Mold Inspection Canada (MoldInspection.ca, "we", "us") collects when you use this website, call us or book an inspection, why we collect it, who helps us handle it, how long we keep it and how you can reach us about it.
What information do we collect?
When you send us a request through the form on this website, we collect the details you type in: your name, your postal code or address, your email address, your phone number, a description of the issue, whether you're the owner or authorized by the owner, and how you'd like us to reply. If you choose to upload photos of the issue, we receive those photos too.
We also record a few details about how your request reached us, such as the page you sent it from, the first page you visited and, when present, the referring website or campaign tag. This helps us understand which pages are useful to people looking for an inspection.
When you book an inspection, our team will usually ask for your name, address and contact details so the inspector can reach you if needed.
What will your personal information be used for?
We use your information only for our own business purposes:
- to reply to your request, answer your questions and schedule an inspection;
- to deliver our inspection, testing and removal services and send you your results and report;
- to improve our website and customer service;
- to operate AI-assisted call answering and email responses, so we can reply to you and book appointments faster.
We don't sell, rent or trade your personal information.
Photos and media
Photos uploaded through the website form are stored privately. Before storage, we remove the location and camera details (EXIF data) that phones attach to pictures. Our team receives a private link to each photo, and every uploaded photo is deleted automatically after 30 days.
During an inspection, our team may photograph or record parts of the property to document the work. We take care not to reveal the identity, address or other sensitive personal information of property owners or occupants in anything we publish.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate, for example which pages are read and whether a request was sent. Google Analytics uses cookies for this. We don't use advertising or retargeting cookies on this website.
Our website is protected by Cloudflare, which may set cookies needed for security and to tell people apart from automated traffic. When you use the form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the request comes from a person; it doesn't show you ads or track you across other websites.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The website will still work, although we'll see less about how it's used.
Log files
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information about each visit, such as the IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. We use this information to keep the site secure and working, and to understand overall usage. It isn't used to identify you.
Call recordings
Calls to 613-701-9893 and 514-700-6838 are answered by our customer support team during business hours and by an AI voice assistant outside those hours. For quality assurance and training, calls may be recorded and stored for up to 90 days before deletion. Recordings and transcripts may be processed by the service provider that operates our phone system.
Use of artificial intelligence (AI)
We use AI-powered tools to help us respond to you quickly. When you call outside business hours, an AI voice assistant may answer, help book your appointment, and record and transcribe the call so we can handle your request accurately. When you send a form or email us, an AI assistant may help read your message and prepare a reply or book an appointment based on our service information.
A member of our team oversees these tools, and you can reach a person at any time by asking on a call or by replying to any email. We don't use AI to make final decisions about your service without a person involved. If you'd prefer not to interact with our AI tools, tell us and we'll help you directly.
Who helps us handle your information
We rely on trusted service providers to run the website and our communications, including our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare), our email delivery provider (Resend), our analytics provider (Google Analytics) and the providers that operate our phone, email and customer systems. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
Some of these providers may store or process information outside Quebec or Canada, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to protect your information wherever it's handled.
Records and retention
- Requests sent through the website form are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted automatically.
- Photos uploaded through the form are deleted automatically after 30 days.
- Call recordings are kept for up to 90 days.
- Inspector notes, photographs, reports, laboratory results, estimates and invoices are kept on a secure file server for 18 to 24 months before deletion, unless you ask otherwise. Requests for documents older than 24 months may not be possible to fulfil.
How we protect your information
The website is served over an encrypted connection, the form is protected against automated abuse, uploaded photos are stored privately and access to the information you send us is limited to the people who need it to serve you.

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits.
